Almost Skateboards was formed in 2003 by Rodney Mullen and Daewon Song. Almost Skateboards diversify themselves from other companies, by using other materials such as Resin and Epoxy, along with a few other experimental methods. Almost has released two skateboards that use carbon fiber; The uber Light and the Impact Support. The uber Light contains a carbon foam core, giving it the strength of a deck inside a deck. The Impact Support uses Carbon Fiber discs, inserted around the truck mounting areas to prevent pressure cracks and common board breakage. Impact Supports are covered by a 30 day warranty. Almost is known for its lightweight products, and the technical manouvers performed by the team riders. Their current pro roster includes Daewon Song, Rodney Mullen, Chris Haslam, Cooper Wilt, Lewis Marnell, Justin Schulte. Their first video Almost Round 3 was released in 2004 and remains the best selling skateboard video of all time.


In 2002, Stevie Williams created DGK to better cater his lifestyle. Growing up on the streets of Philadelphia, Stevie and his crew of friends called themselves, Dirty Ghetto Kids, or DGK. Enjoi is a skateboarding company offering skateboard decks as their primary product. They also provide skateboarding accessories and clothing. The company's logo is a stylized panda. The company was originally headed by professional skateboarder Marc Johnson. After Johnson's departure, Connor Bow took over as head of the company. Enjoi is owned and distributed by Dwindle Distribution, which is owned by Globe International. Enjoi's current pro team consists of Jerry Hsu, Cairo Foster Connor Bow, Caswell Berry, Axel Bayer, Wieger Van Wageningen, Louie Barletta, Will Hutchison, Jose Rojo, Colton Qualls, Jordan Blue. Enjoi's current am team consists of Nestor Judkins, Zack Wallin, and Ben Raemers. Enjoi released their first video, Bag of Suckin 2006. It won the Transworld Skate Video of the Year Award.

Fallen footwear is a skateboard footwear company started by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas.  It is part of the Black Box Distribution family along with Zero skateboards, Mystery skateboards, and Slave skateboards. In late 2003, Jamie Thomas, having previously ridden for the footwear companies Emerica, Adio, and C1RCA. Their current pro skateboard team features pros Jamie Thomas, Chris Cole, Billy Marks, Josh Harmony, Tommy Sandoval, Tony Cervantes, James Hardy, Brian Hansen & Garrett Hill.

KR3W is a skateboarding apparel company based in Costa Mesa, California, founded and owned by Angel Cabada in 2002. Cabada was previously a partner in TSA Clothing, another skateboard apparel company, but left shortly before its demise. In 2006, KR3W launched a skateboard footwear company, Supra Footwear. KR3W and Supra are distributed by One Distribution. Terry Kennedy, Erik Ellington, Chad Muska, Jim Greco, Antwuan Dixon, Ramiro Furby Salcedo, Spencer Hamilton, Lizard King, Greg Myers and Boo Johnson are all currently on the KR3W team.

In 1993, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard thought they might have a better formula for a skateboard company; one that made products the team would be proud of and kept an atmosphere that was supportive and motivating. While it was a risk, they felt like they owed it to skateboarding and skateboarders to take that risk. In 1999, facing a similar situation in respect to footwear, Mike and Rick introduced Lakai Limited Footwear with the same dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl. & Chocolate brands Simply stated, they are The Shoes We Skate. Despite losing Eric Koston in 2008 to Nike SB. RVCA is the brainchild of company Founder and Creative Director, PM Tenore. Transcending the boundaries of traditional action sports apparel, RVCA is a design-driven lifestyle brand free from passing trends. Appearing as a natural on the shelves of boutiques as on those of a local skate shop, RVCA is brought together by a group of like-minded individuals from various subcultures, a collaboration of sorts, a lifestyle within itself. Their current pro skate team includes Austin Stephens, Josh Harmony, Leo Romero, Cairo Foster, Julian Davidson, Nestor Judkins, David Reyes, Keegan Sauder, Ed Templeton, Kevin "Spanky" Long. 2010 will be the first Zumiez Couch Tour stop for the RVCA skate team.

Toy Machine, is a skateboarding company started by Ed Templeton in 1993.The Toy Machine brand is housed under the Tum Yeto distribution company. Since their beginnings 14 years ago, they've released several acclaimed team videos including Welcome to Hell, Jump Off a Building, Sucking the Life, and Good and Evil. They recently released their newest video Suffer the Joy. In 2006 Toy Machine released a folk album performed by Josh and Jenna Harmony, also known as "The Harmonys." Their current pro skate team includes Ed Templeton, Austin Stephens, Diego Bucchieri Billy Marks, Nick Trapasso, Leo Romero, Matt Bennett, Johnny Layton, Josh Harmony Jordan Taylor, Collin Provost, and Daniel Lutheran. 2010 will be the second year in a row the Toy Machine team has joined the Zumiez Couch Tour.

Volcom is a clothing manufacturer based in Costa Mesa, California. It was founded in 1991 by Richard "Wooly" Woolcott and Tucker "T-Dawg" Hall. The company caters to the surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding markets, born out of the founders' own experiences with these sports. Volcom is known for its elaborate uses of the "stone" logo pictured above and its contradictive motto "Youth Against Establishment". It is also actively involved in a campaign that it calls "Let the Kids Ride Free." Volcom's record label is called Volcom Entertainment. Zero Skateboards was originally started in 1996 as a clothing company by pro skaters Anthony Freiberg and Jamie ‘The Chief’ Thomas. At the time, Freiberg and Thomas were skateboarding professionally for Toy Machine. The Zero Skateboard brand eventually evolved into a fully legit skateboard company with Thomas leaving Toy Machine and becoming Zero's first pro. The Zero Skateboard team has progressed into a powerhouse of skateboarders gaining podium spots in highlighted comps. Zero pro Chris Cole won the 2005 S.O.T.Y. (Skateboarder of the Year) Award, and became only the second repeat winner of the award in 2009 . The team also claimed three consecutive wins at Thrasher Magazines King of the Road competition from 2004 to 2006. They have since moved on from the King of the Road comp and joined forces in 2007 with their extended family, the Mystery Skateboards team, to start the "Black and White Tour." Zero Skateboards is a part of the Black Box Distribution family, along with Mystery Skateboards, Slave Skateboards, and Fallen Footwear. The Keep A Breast Foundation™ is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, we seek to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being. Keep A Breast will be joining the Zumiez Couch Tour for the third year in a row in 2010.

TRANSWORLD began publishing under the ownership of Larry Balma, owner of Tracker Trucks, and Peggy Cozens. Initially, the publishing and editorial team were known as the ‘United Skate Front’. Balma later spoke of the magazine’s beginnings as a reaction to Thrasher, saying ‘They were pretty harsh, sex and drugs and using four-letter words and all that and in the early '80s, the sport started growing and (Thrasher) wasn't the best magazine for young kids’ (Union-Tribune, 2003).
